Another Hot Melon Salad...
Upon request of my friend I made another Hot Melon Salad today, and it taught me a key lesson. The melon needs to be fresh cut.
I’d used melon I cut two days prior. Of course, once cut, melon softens. Thus, the firmness from the first trial of Alton Brown’s recipe was superb. The one made today was still quite tasty but the softness of the melon definitely took away from the overall texture.
