Peanut Butter & Cheese Whiz?
Right now there’s a jar of Cheese Whiz in the fridge. I didn’t buy it - my sister-in-law gave it to my husband at Christmas. He loves the stuff, and I think its smell alone is enough to make one heave. (more…)

Don’t Toss the Whites
Last night I was dying for some chocolate, and since it was quite chilly, I ventured to the kitchen to make up a batch of steaming hot chocolate. My dreaming tastebuds took over at nearly 10 p.m., I found myself whipping up a hefty pot of fresh chocolate pudding. (more…)

Buh-Bye Arby’s
They may have tasty sandwiches and sides, but it’s so difficult to justify the price. Sans a coupon or gift card, I don’t see myself venturing through Arby’s again any time soon. (more…)

Wait! Save those Potato Peelings
In an effort to suck as much substance out of any type of food, well, that and because they just taste so darned good, I never scrap the potato peelings. (more…)

Apples Gone Soft?
I use apples for two purposes: cooking, and topping with peanut butter or cheese (Granny Smith only). I can’t remember the last time I ate an apple on its lonesome. (more…)

Quick & Easy Breaded Chicken Salad
With wholesale clubs like BJ’s, it doesn’t make sense to buy pre-breaded chicken. I buy 10-lb bags of boneless, skinless chicken breast for just over $20.00. Compare this homemade breaded chicken salad to the $10 options at restaurants and you’ll wonder why you’re paying so much when you go out. (more…)
