When we hollered out to folks to come on over for New Year’s Eve, we told them to feel free to bring along some friends. I also asked for a two-day notice of an increased head count.

Luckily, I called Val & Eric (some cool friends who’ll be joining us in celebration), and found that Eric, a typical guy, was bringing along some extra folk.

Being the excited hostess, I saw this as only a minute obstacle, and headed my way to the kitchen to take inventory. The menu has now broadened, and fortunately, Val has some extra booze to bring along. That saves me a trip to the liquor store on one of the busiest alcohol-buying days of the year.

I’m sure our friends will be eager to find out just what will be on the serving trays. Right now, I’m eager as well. Check back tomorrow to find out what additional golden brown delicacies I whipped up.
